I used to think the best conspiracy movie was Twelve Monkeys....not anymore.

This one just came onto the netflix instant Queue. I found it to be greatly entertaining.

Anyone ever seen lunopolis?

I'm sure somebody has. However, I haven't. Does it make any space-related conspiracy claims that we might discuss here?

ETA: Oh, it's a mockumentary. Never mind, then.

I think AutoBoof simply has choosen the wrong place. This should be in Small Media at Large I guess. And no, I have not seen the movie. Isn't there another plot with some kind of Nazi city/outpost on the back side of the moon?

I apologize if this is not the purpose of this forum. I am not used to forums with so many rules.

I would not want to spoil the plot for anybody.

It is shot as a 1st person experience documentary. Blair witch style but without the cheesy horror.

While at first glance this movie may seem too ridiculous to watch, let me assure you it is not. It really makes you think,

I would not call lunopolis a mockumntary. At least on the surface. But there are some deeper undertones that could be considered mocking.

If you can suspend your disbelief, I would fully recommend you watch lunopolis.

Note the lack of a "k".
A mocumentary is a movie which uses the documentary style to tell a story which is not true, Lunopolis precisely fits that descriptions. It's a mocumentary.

Actually, Henrik, there is a "k" in "mockumentary."

Oh.... OK, then Lunopolis is a mockumentary.

Fair enough, by that definition. I suppose it is a 'mocumentary'
(although I suspect you just misspelled the word and are covering your tracks) hehe .

But it is not humorous on the surface. It is only humorous due to the parallels you can draw from religions like Scientology to the made up religion in the movie, 'Lunology'. It is Nothing like mars attacks.

It has an interesting theory on time. That we could discuss here.

Anyone had a chance to watch it yet? Its on the NetFlix Instant Queue, so easily accessible.

It might have a "t" in there, as well. :) Sorry, couldn't resist.

Anyway, I'd also add that not only is the story fictional, it was made with the knowledge that the story is fictional. If you follow the Lunopolis History link (http://wikibin.org/articles/lunopolis.html) from yours, AutoBoof, you'll notice that the very first sentence reads as follows:
Lunopolis is the fictional hidden city located on the moon, created by filmmakers Matthew J. Avant and Hal Maynor IV, for their 2009 mock-documentary film of the same name.
