Small nit. It says "The furthest away galaxies observed are at a distance of about 15,000 l-y. Figure 2 shows the more recent part of the slowing process from 5,000 m years ago." I'm sure he means "15,000 m l=y."
How come it does not have a dicussion forum on the IEI site (http://www.iei.ie/papers/)?
