There's something I'm wanting, but it can't be bought from any company, and I don't have the skills to make it myself.

I know here on the BAUT there are at least a few machinists, and other people who still make physical things, and I'm wondering if any of you will take it on (http://www.elsewhere.org/journal/archives/2007/01/14/pistol-crossbow/)?

I used to have a good pistol crossbow, but I gave it away, and now Barnett doesn't make them anymore.
All the other pistol crossbows you can buy are pieces of crap.

Those do look like fun, but I'm actually wanting that crossbow.

I may not have implied it well enough in the OP, but I'll pay whoever makes it for me, and you can UPS-ship it to me. That is legal, isn't it? So long as you don't live in dippy hippy places like CA or MA, where common martial arts weapons are a felony to own, it should be OK, I'd think.
