View Full Version : Mapping exoplanet magnetic fields from the Solar System

It is at least plausible that we will, in the distant future, be able to map belts, zones and spots in neighboring planetary system Neptune-size planets with hypertelescopes. If we get such resolution, is there something we could do with it to see if such planets have cockeyed magnetic fields, as both examples in our system do? Perhaps seeing aurorae?
