In this case, Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (http://www.cosmiverse.com/news/space/space04190206.html)
I seem to recall that PAHs were part of the evidence for life in the Martian meteorite.

Polly, a romantic Hydrocarbon, is from a large family of Hydrocarbons. She is a lifeform. Smells good, too.
