CosmoQuest.org should be running at a nearly optimum stability at this point. All features have been brought back online after a bit of downtime from an external attack on the server.
To have a true community, two-way (and sometimes twenty-way!) conversation is required. The same is also true of scientific collaboration. Throughout history, major breakthroughs have pivoted on the right people meeting, talking, and combining great ideas. Your next conversation could lead to CosmoQuest’s next big idea. On March 22, 2013 we found out that many NASA EPO programs will be suspended as a direct result of US budgetary sequestration. The full ramifications are still being learned, but we are proactively working to raise money to make sure that CosmoQuest can continue to support its staff and its programs. As we are able, we will also use any monies we raise to contract amazing people whose jobs are negatively impacted by budgetary cuts.
