Introducing Science on the Half Sphere

Science on the Half Sphere

We’re slowly working to grow our available resources. One of the next places we’re going to start focusing is on media production for traditional venues like planetariums. Thanks to a great partnership with the Ward Beecher Planetarium at Youngstown State University, we’ll be part of producing new shows that will be available to the planetarium community at no cost.

Let me repeat that: We’re producing full dome planetarium shows that you can used for free.

Our first show, Cosmic Castaways (more on that in another post), will come out in October. In addition to producing shows, we’ll be creating matched educational content, and we’ll also be building a repository of images available under a creative commons license.

You can access all of this at Science on the Half Sphere, under CosmoAcademy.

And on a random note, the logo for this project may just be the best logo design we’ve come up with so far. (Always find joy in the small things).
