MoonMappers Gearing Up for NASA Lunar Science Conf!

Apollo 14 Resolution Example

This is just a reallyquick post to let you know that I’ve been hard at work this week analyzing all the MoonMappers data and figuring out how we’re going to present what at the NASA Lunar Science Conference in 10 days in Mountain View, CA (at NASA Ames).

The poster that I’ll be presenting is going to focus almost exclusively on discussing the results of the Apollo landing site work — specifically, the effects that sun angle has on crater detection and what the craters you found mean for everything we think we know about using craters to age-date surfaces in the solar system.

I’ll be discussing the results more next week in at least one post, where I post the poster! So, stay tuned!
