Telescopes for Teachers

With this new program you will be able to donate telescope to teachers; either to your favourite local school or to help teachers in underserved areas around the globe.

Donated telescopes will be tax deductible through Astrosphere New Media Association (A US-based 501(c)3).

How it works:

• If you donate to a specific classroom or school, we'll ask you to provide us contact information for the school, and to donate enough money to provide the school with a minimum of 6 telescopes (1 case of telescopes). We will ship the telescopes from the warehouse in Wisconsin within a week of confirming shipping address with the school. Telescopes can be donated to anywhere in the world.
• If you donate to the general fund, your money will go toward getting telescopes to schools and teacher training programs that have applied for telescopes..

Schools and teacher training programs can sign up to receive telescopes. We are still working on defining the process. We will send telescopes to schools and programs based on their plans for the telescope, and the economic challenges faced by the school and the nation it is within. Other factors, such as reaching a diversity of regions, will also be factored in.
